Easy DIY Christmas Jewelry

I have posted before about how much I enjoy taking regular little items and turning them into jewelry or other wearable items.
These are just simple Recollections (purchased at Michaels) embellishments which I have attached bails, and ear wire pads.  Did they turn out super cute?  And they are so very easy to do! Plus with the assortment available the options are endless! I really wish the pictures could show how adorable these are! They make great homemade Christmas gifts for friends, coworkers,  family, or perfect for those “swaps” or “Secret Santa”.
Materials:
  • Three embellishments of choice (i liked the stockings)
  • 1 Aanraku Bail (i purchased mine here)
  • 2 Silver Plated Earring Hook Pads (i also purchase mine here)
  • E6000 Glue
  • Mod Podge Outdoor (or other sealant)
  • Necklace Chain

Take the three embellishments and adhere the bail to one and the earring pads to the other two using the E6000 glue. Let dry overnight.  I like to then add a thin coat of mod podge to the front since these are glittery. The Mod Podge will act as the sealant to keep the glitter from covering your shirt and will also protect it if you get stuck out in the rain or the snow.  I would not consider these to be water proof by any means, but the Outdoor formula of Mod Podge sure helps just in case.

That was it! Easy peasy! Add your choice of necklace chain to your pendant and your good to go!

They are so super cute! Takes no time.  You could easily put several together at once and let them dry overnight. They would be great in a little bit of cute packaging and instant gift!! For hostesses or those friends that just drop by out of the blue.  Of course you have to make a few for yourself as well!
